Workflow & Style

The best photographs should place you straight back in the moment captured. The unique experiences you have on your wedding day should be cherished and enjoyed to the maximum. Weddings are awash with amazing moments in a sea of chaos! My goal is to anticipate these fleeting moments, select flattering and unique vantage points and camera settings. Foreseeing the finished image before it has been taken. I aim not to take photographs, but to make them.

To allow for the creativity to flow, the technical side must be second nature. I have a blog post on this for the photographers among you! I shoot in full-time manual mode, which gives a full range of functionality at your fingertips. The equipment I use is described in detail here.

Classical Portraiture

I like to include classical elements of portraiture and we assign a dedicated period of time to capture these in good time so that the rest of the day can play out naturally.

Details

Having organised my own wedding, and been involved personally and professionally in a great many, I appreciate the great deal of time, attention and effort involved in the smallest details of your wedding. I capture these vital components, in a flattering and unique way.

Real

The engagement pre-wedding shoot included in higher packages, is helpful in making you comfortable in front of the camera, and to develop our rapport further.  I have been fortunate in that much of my business has developed through referrals, my approach thankfully being appreciated and valued.  If you as the client are at ease and assured, moments captured will be real.
